UK engineering company Atkins has teamed up with Silicon Valley software company Aditazz to develop technology which could optimise the design and development of offshore wind projects.
The pair say the software will allow users make faster decisions and reduce cost and risk by allowing them to simulate and optimise all variables of an offshore wind farm simultaneously.
Industry stakeholders are being sought to help to bring the approach to market, with plans to be further discussed during a seminar held at Maryland’s International Partnering Forum this week.
“We’ve proven our software can reduce the cost and improve the efficiency of major projects around the world,” Aditazz chief executive Deepak Aatresh said.
“We’re pleased to use our expertise and technology to help realise the incredible potential of offshore wind farms.”
