Dutch maritime services provider SeaZip has opened an office in Britain, lured by the growth of the country’s large offshore wind industry.
SeaZip also announced that it signed a contract to deploy a service vessel to support installation work at the 336MW Galloper wind farm off the Suffolk coast.
By opening the new office at the seaport town of Lowestoft, Suffolk, the company is responding to a British government call for companies specializing in offshore energy to set up shop in the UK, SeaZip CEO Jan Reier Arends said.
“It is eminently important in this business to be where the action is,” Arends said. “The offshore wind industry in the UK is accelerating.”
