Nordex confirmed that it has secured a contract to supply 195MW worth of wind turbines to Atlantic Energias Renováveis’s onshore Lagoa do Barro project in Brazil.
The German manufacturer said the 65 AW125/3000 machines will be delivered and installed from mid-2017, cementing an initial supply deal signed in 2015.
Lagoa do Barro comprises eight separate wind farms located in the state of Piaui in the country’s northeast: Lagoa do Barro 1 through 7 and Queimada Nova.
Atlantic Energias Renováveis is backed by British private equity fund Actis.
