7-Eleven has signed an agreement to buy electricity from TXU Energy wind farms in Texas for its stores in the US state.
The retailer said it will buy wind energy for all its Texas stores located in competitive energy markets, or a total of 425 shops.
The 96-month agreement with the utility, which is also based in Texas, will start on 1 June 2018.
It’s expected to cut 7-Eleven’s carbon footprint by 6.7% while providing significant operating expense savings.
