GE Renewable Energy has secured an order to supply turbines for the 250MW Willow Springs wind farm in Texas.
The company will deliver 100 2.5-116 machines to the project in Haskell County, it said.
Willow Springs is being developed by Lincoln Clean Energy (LCE), a unit of investment manager I Squared Capital.
The $330m wind farm has received project financing from Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Rabobank, according to the developer.
GE will support the facility under a 20-year extended full service agreement.
“We are delighted to build on our successful relationship with GE and are well-positioned to execute on our pipeline of more than 1000 megawatts of advanced-stage development projects across Texas and the Midwest,” LCE chief executive Declan Flanagan said.
GE onshore wind chief executive Pete McCabe added: “Once Willow Springs is complete, GE will have commissioned 1363MW of wind capacity across six wind farms developed by LCE over four years.”
