MHI Vestas has signed a conditional agreement to supply turbines for the 680MW Borssele 3&4 offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.
The Danish manufacturer officially acknowledged the deal having already been named preferred supplier by developer consortium Shell, Van Oord, Eneco and Mitsubishi.
A further announcement will be made when the project translates into a firm and unconditional order, said MHI partner Vestas.
Borssele 3&4 is located 22km off the coast of Zeeland and is slated for commissioning in 2020.
The project was the second of five bidding rounds planned by the Netherlands.
