The 200MW second phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar park has been inaugurated in Dubai.
A consortium led by ACWA Power, a Saudi Arabian water and power company, and TSK, a Spanish engineering and construction company, was selected by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority to develop, construct, own and operate the project.
First Solar supplied the more than 2.3 million solar panels than cover an area over 4.5 square km.
A Masdar-led consortium has been selected to build the 800MW third phase of the project.
