Futuren has started construction of the 21MW Courant-Nachamps wind farm in France, having secured finance for the project through a bank loan.
The wind farm, which is located in the Charente-Maritime region of the country, will consist of seven Siemens 3MW turbines.
The French developer said the finance is a non-recourse long-term loan secured by future cash flows created by the project.
Commissioning of Courant-Nachamps is planned for the start of next year, Futuren said.
