Lekela Power has completed installation of turbines at the 140MW Loeriesfontein wind farm in the Northern Cape region of South Africa ahead of schedule.
The 61 Siemens turbines have tip heights of 154 metres and rotor blades with lengths of 53 metres.
Turbine installation work will start early next month at the adjacent 140MW Khobab wind farm.
Lekela Power is a 60:40 joint venture between Actis and Mainstream Renewable Power.
