Dutch outfit MME Group is to provide cathodic protection for the foundations at the 370MW Norther offshore wind farm off the coast of Belgium.
Under the terms of the contract, which was signed with Van Oord, MME will supply and commission internal and external “impressed current cathodic protection” systems for the wind farm’s 44 monopiles and the offshore substation.
Van Oord is the main contractor for engineering, procurement, supply and installation of foundations, offshore substation and inter-array and export cables at Norther.
MME general manager Pieter Moerland (pictured, right) said: “With more than 10 European OWFs (offshore wind farms) protected by our systems, this deal is a clear demonstration of our dedication to customer oriented, high-quality solutions paying off.”
