The Netherlands Enterprise Agency is preparing to issue a tender for geophysical soil surveys for the 700MW Hollandse Kust North offshore wind farm zone.
The agency has issued a so-called prior information notice ahead of the tender, which is estimated to be published on 3 April.
The survey work aims to improve the bathymetrical, morphological and geological understanding of the wind farm zone, the notice said.
It will also identify objects in the wind farm zone and geophysical information to prepare for geotechnical investigations.
The agency said the information gained from the survey will be made available to all potential bidders for offshore wind farms in the Netherlands.
