Vattenfall has narrowed the underground onshore cable route for the 1.8GW Norfolk Vanguard offshore wind farm to a 200-metre corridor from a 700-metre area previously.
The Swedish company said the area would also cater for the onshore cable for the 1.8GW Norfolk Boreas project, as well as a substation and other infrastructure.
The announcement comes ahead of nine public information days for the two projects starting on 20 March and running until 1 April.
Norfolk Vanguard project manager Ruari Lean said: “Vattenfall hopes for the same strong turnout at the March and April public engagement events as we enjoyed last October.
“A lot of this interest, understandably, is about people’s concerns but also how we can maximise the value of any investment in the local area.”
Vattenfall has also started a three-year permitting process for the Norfolk Boreas project.
The company is targeting a consent decision from the Secretary of State for Energy by 2020, with a date in 2019 expected for Norfolk Vanguard.
