HSM Offshore has contracted fellow Dutch outfit Iv-Oil & Gas to provide engineering and procurement for the offshore substation at Dong Energy’s 450MW Borkum Riffgrund 2 wind farm in the German North Sea.
Iv-Oil & Gas will handle the engineering and procurement of the utility systems for the topside and Iv-Consult will produce the shop drawings for both jacket and topside.
The platform will consist of a 2500-tonne topside and a 1700-tonne jacket.
It is expected to be fully commissioned in 2019.
