Polish company Energomontaz-Pólnoc Gdynia (EPG) has completed 26 of the 30 external platforms it is fabricating for the 385MW Arkona offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
The final four platforms, which are 11.5 metres long and 9.5 metres wide, will be delivered to client Bladt Industries in early March, EPG said.
In total, the 30 platforms weigh 720 tonnes.
Danish company Bladt is manufacturing 60 transition pieces for the project, which will be located 35km northwest of the Island Rugen.
Arkona will consist of 60 Siemens 6MW turbines.
