Siemens has appealed to UK suppliers that provide a range of services, including crew transfer vessels and temporary power, to work with the German company on ScottishPower Renewables’ 714MW East Anglia 1 wind farm off Suffolk.
Siemens, which will have a team at SPR’s EA1 supply chain event at the Norfolk Showground in Norwich on 2 March, is also inviting accommodation providers, ground transport suppliers and offsite fabrication services to join it on the project.
It would also welcome interest from companies specialising in vessel servicing – such as refueling, catering and waste removal – and organisations with expertise in temporary buildings.
Siemens is supplying 102 7MW turbines for the EA1 offshore wind farm, which will be located 45km off the coast of Suffolk.
