Ingeteam delivered almost 5GW of wind power converters in 2016, a record amount in a year.
The Spanish company said its sales were particularly strong in large emerging wind markets, such as India and Brazil, where it supplied 1268MW and 837MW of capacity respectively.
Ingeteam’s technology is installed in 24,000 turbines around the world with a combined 36GW.
“2016 was a great year: we increased the volume of our deliveries by 32% compared to 2015,” wind business unit managing director Ana Goyen said.
“Our outstanding 2016 results are due to our ability to constantly stay ahead of the curve and minimize the levelised cost of energy of customers.”
