Fred Olsen Windcarrier has used Cumbria operator MPM Northwest to prepare its Bayard 4 crew transfer vessel for class renewal.
MPM helped prepare and facilitate the vessel’s five-year mandatory class renewal last week at its facility in Maryport, it said.
The company worked on the Bayard 1, 2 and 4 vessels between November and February, contributing to renewals by DNV GL.
Bayard 4 will join its sister vessels at Barrow-in-Furness on 17 February, where it will be stationed for the foreseeable future.
“We are really pleased with the level of service and the facilities at MPM Northwest,” Fred Olsen Windcarrier technical manager Benjamin Graff said.
“It is a convenient and flexible yard to bring our vessels to for this kind of work.”
