A lorry carrying a wind turbine tower left the road during a delivery in southwest Scotland.
The component was headed to Fred Olsen’s under-construction Windy Standard 2 wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway.
Senvion is supplying a mix of MM82 and MM92 hardware to the project.
The company confirmed that a vehicle transporting the tower left the road and the driver was taken to a nearby hospital to be assessed for shock and back and neck injuries.
It added: “A Senvion team is at the site and working with the authorities and involved parties. At this time we cannot comment any further until a full investigation has taken place.”
The accident happened on the A713 road between Castle Douglas and Ayr on Monday.
