Ireland’s energy minister Denis Naughten is hosting an event today to debate the future of the all-island electricity system post-Brexit.
The “Brexit Civic Dialogue” will identify the main implications of the UK’s exit from the European Union for the energy sector, said Naughten.
It will also provide an opportunity for input into Dublin’s preparations for the negotiation process.
The event is being chaired by Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland chief executive Jim Gannon and is taking place in Boyle, in County Roscommon.
