Dutch specialist recruiter Atlas Professionals has won a contract to supply workers for Iberdrola’s 350MW Wikinger wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
Atlas said it will provide engineering, project management, health & safety, commercial and development personnel as well as offshore client representatives.
Construction on the 70-turbine project started in early 2016 and the installation of the first turbines began last week. Full commissioning is expected before the end of the year.
“This contract award is a great start to our relationship with Iberdrola as one of their key suppliers of personnel,” Atlas business manager for offshore wind Laura Smith said.
“The team and I plan to utilise our experiences gained in similar offshore renewable energy projects to ensure we supply the most competent and experienced professionals to this German project.”
