Senvion has hired UK outfit Manor Renewable Energy to provide the 54 turbines at the 332MW Nordsee 1 wind farm in the German North Sea with temporary power during construction.
Manor Renewable Energy said the power systems have been fully assembled and delivered from the Manor Marine site in Portland in Dorset.
The systems consist of a 60kVA generator, including fire suppression and communication-capable control panels, and a 2000 litre fuel tank.
Manor Renewable Energy director Toby Mead said: “We believe the solution we have allows Senvion to have a fully flexible provision at short notice periods, which is often the key to these projects.”
