A fund managed by Fiera Infrastructure has acquired a 50% stake in the 100MW Cedar Point 2 wind farm in Ontario from Suncor Energy.
The 46-turbine project, which is in Lambton County, is now co-owned by affiliates of NextEra Energy Canada and the Fiera Infra LP fund.
It has been operating since October 2015 and has a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Independent Electricity System Operator.
National Bank Financial Markets acted as financial advisor and debt advisor and arranger to Fiera Infrastructure.
Fiera Infrastructure president Alina Osorio said: “Our aim is to secure high-quality core assets which provide investors with access to income-generating infrastructure assets.”
