Chinese heavy-duty equipment manufacturer ZPMC has won a contract to supply a booster station for the 200MW Longyuan Dafeng offshore wind farm in China.
The company said it will undertake the construction, maritime transport, erection and joint commissioning of the booster station.
The booster station, which ZPMC said is the first domestic split-type unit, will consist of a leg foundation, jacket and upper platform.
The upper platform will be divided into five parts – one GIS, two main substations, one 35kV unit and an auxiliary module – because the shallow water site does not allow for the overall transport and lifting of the whole offshore platform, the company added.
