Innergex Renewable Energy has started commercial operations at the 150MW Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n wind farm in Quebec.
The project, which features 46 Senvion 3.2M114 turbines and one MM92 machine, is a joint venture between Innergex and three Mi’gmaq Nations.
General contractor Borea Construction oversaw the wind farm construction and Quebec company Thirau built a 25km 230kV power line to connect the project to the provincial transmission grid.
The Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n project, located in the Gaspé region, has a 20-year power purchase agreement with utility Hydro-Québec.
