Vestas has won more than 300MW of orders as part of a hat-trick of new deals in North and Central America.
The largest deal is for 200MW of turbine components for an unnamed developer in the US.
The V110-2.0MW kit will be manufactured at the company’s Colorado facility.
Vestas said it has also secured a 48MW order for 3MW turbine components for another undisclosed US customer.
It said both deals will “enable” a “future project pipeline” for the developers.
The Danish outfit has also won its first orders in Honduras where it will supply 59MW.
The V117-3.45MW model will feature at a two unnamed wind farms under engineering, procurement and construction contracts.
Both deals include 15-year full service agreements with component delivery scheduled for the first quarter in 2017 ahead of end-year commissioning.
“Supplying wind turbines and service solutions are only part of our business, and getting these two engineering, procurement and construction contracts in Honduras, which becomes Vestas’ second new market in 2016, demonstrates Vestas’ ability to meet customers’ wind energy needs anywhere in the world”, said Vestas Mediterranean president Marco Graziano.
