Gamesa has manufactured more than 1880 turbines with a total capacity of 3880MW in 2016, a record for the Spanish company.
The previous record was set in 2008, when it produced machines totalling 3787MW, Gamesa said.
It added that 36% of the turbines were built in India, 28% in Europe, 26% in China and 10% in Brazil.
The company said its four nacelle assembly factories in Ágreda in Spain, Tianjin in China, Camaçari in Brazil and Mamandur in India are organising events today to mark the record.
