Polish energy company Polenergia has written off operating wind power assets worth $19m.
The company said on 7 December that it had taken the decision because of persistent low prices for green certificates in the Polish market and uncertainty over their prospect for growth.
It added that the impairment losses are non-cash in nature and will be disclosed in the company’s consolidated financial statements in other operating expenses.
They will be included in the consolidated annual report for the year 2016, Polenergia said.
