Senvion hardware has started spinning at Innergex’s 150MW Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n wind farm in Quebec.
The project, which features 46 3.2M114 turbines and one MM92 machine, is a joint venture between Innergex and three Mi’gmaq Nations in Quebec.
Senvion said the turbines are 100 metres tall and have rotor diameters of 114 metres, apart from the MM92 which has a diameter of 92 metres.
The 3.2M114 turbines are the first of that model operating in North America, the company said.
It added that the blades and towers were manufactured by LM Wind in Quebec.
