Texas set a new record for wind generation on 27 November providing more than 15GW of electricity.
The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (Ercot) said its system used 15,033MW of electricity from wind at 12:35pm on that date, representing about 45% of total demand for power at the time.
Over 8.8GW was produced from wind farms in west and north Texas, 3.8GW came from the south and about 2.3GW from the Panhandle region, Ercot said.
The previous record of 14,122MW was set on 17 November.
