MHI Vestas has signed a framework agreement with Swedish company Atlas Copco Rental for the temporary supply of power during offshore wind works.
The developer will rent more than 100 30kVA generators to support the commissioning of offshore projects, such as Burbo Bank 2, Belwind 2 and Rampion.
The three-year deal includes maintenance and 24/7 servicing, Atlas Copco said.
“We are very proud to be the preferred supplier of temporary power solutions for MHI Vestas Offshore Wind,” Atlas Copco Denmark country manager Michael Nøhr-Petersen said.
“Our new developed QAE30 parallel diesel generators are an excellent match for this type of wind power commissioning work.
“With their light weight, robust design and paralleling capability they can be easily transported and installed on an offshore wind farm.”
