Chinese manufacturer ZTT Group has won a 298m yuan contract to supply cables for the 400MW Binhai North 2 offshore wind farm in China.
The company will deliver 35kV and 220kV submarine composite cables and related accessories to China Power Complete Equipment Company next April, ZTT said.
They will be manufactured at ZTT’s submarine cables factory in Jiangsu, which according to the company is the largest in Asia.
The 100-turbine Binhai North 2 wind farm is being developed by State Power Investment Corp. about 22km off the coast of the Jiangsu province.
Danish engineers Ramboll are designing its foundations and substation.
