Chinese manufacturer Goldwind has launched a 3MW smart wind turbine model called the GW3S.
The company said the GW3S has scalable capacity, smart turbine controls and a structured design.
The turbine is designed for low and ultra-low wind conditions and will range from 3MW to 3.4MW with rotor diameters of up to 140 metres, Goldwind said.
The first deliveries of the new units are planned for late 2017, it added.
