Seacat Services will launch in January its first high-speed utility vessel for work in the offshore wind market.
The 27-metre Seacat Enterprise catamaran is currently being built by South Boats IoW, part of a research and development collaboration with Alicat Marine Design.
It is designed to provide crew transfer and logistical support for extended periods at sea.
Seacat said the new vessel has several structural modifications that enhance cargo and fuel carrying capacity enabling her to carry up to four 20-foot containers, along with 24 personnel and six crew.
The increased fuel capacity means the ship can remain operational for extended periods between port calls, the company added.
Seacat Enterprise will be available for charter from February next year.
