Irish outfit OpenHydro and Indonesian company PT Air have signed a memorandum of understanding that aims to drive forward the development of tidal energy in the south-east Asian country.
The MoU was signed at the Indonesia Infrastructure Week conference and exhibition 2016 on 8 November.
OpenHydro is part of the DCNS group.
A 2MW OpenHydro open-centre turbine was deployed at the Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy near Parrsboro in Nova Scotia this week.
