Eurus Energy has acquired nine operational wind farms with a combined capacity of 72.5MW in the Netherlands from a local developer.
The Japanese company has bought its first wind farms in the country from Yard Energy, which already sold two Finnish projects to it last month.
The plants are the 9MW Zoetermeer, 5.2MW Lely, 9.2MW Boerderijweg, 9.9MW Tolhuis, 9.9MW Dalfsen, 2.3MW IJslandweg, 5MW Oesterdam, 10MW Van Gogh and the 12MW Netterden wind farm.
Eurus said it is committed to continue the joint development of energy projects in Europe and is determined to buy more wind farms in the Netherlands.
Following the transaction, the Japanese company now owns clean energy assets in 11 countries.
