Forum Energy Technologies has won a contract to supply a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to the University of Limerick for use on marine renewables, such as offshore wind.
The ROV is expected to have high precision positioning and navigation, camera and lighting, sonar and other sensors and robot manipulator systems.
Forum Energy Technologies will also supply launch recovery and tether management systems for the ROV.
French company iXBlue has also been contracted to supply a navigation system for the ROV.
