DEME Group and Cosco Shipping have signed an umbrella agreement cementing the joint venture formed earlier this year to develop offshore wind energy projects in China.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel and China’s Premier Li Keqiang.
Shipping company Cosco has partnered with DEME in order to enter the offshore wind market.
DEME chairman Luc Bertrand said: “The cooperation is in line with the group’s partnering philosophy, in which DEME expands its international activities through sustainable cooperation with local partners.”
