Gamesa has entered into an agreement with Indian developer Atria Power for the engineering, procurement and construction of two solar plants totalling 130MW in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
The Spanish company said the deal to develop the 90MW and 40MW facilities is its largest solar order since it entered this sector in India last year.
Gamesa will be responsible for the design and engineering of the plants and the procurement of 96 E1.37MW photovoltaic inverters, which will be made by Gamesa Electric.
The company will also handle operations and maintenance at the two projects.
Commissioning of both plants is scheduled for March 2017.
