Renewable Energy Systems (RES) has erected the first Senvion MM82 turbine at the 22.5MW Freasdail wind farm on the Kintyre Peninsula on the West Coast of Scotland.
The project will feature 11 Senvion units with tip heights of 100 metres, said RES.
The project is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2017.
Last month, The Renewable Infrastructure Group entered into an exclusivity agreement to acquire a 22.5MW wind farm from RES, thought to be the Freasdail project.
