Enel Green Power North America has started construction of the 300MW Rock Creek wind farm in Missouri.
The facility, which is located in Atchison County, is expected to be complete by the end of 2017.
Enel will be investing approximately $500m in the project, financed through its own resources.
The electricity and renewable energy credits generated by the project will be sold under two separate bundled, long-term power purchase agreements with Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L) and KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company.
