Canadian Solar subsidiary Canadian Solar Projects has entered into a syndicated three-year $95m loan facility with 13 Japanese financial institutions.
The money will be used to finance solar developments in Japan and general corporate working capital requirements, Canadian Solar said.
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation acted as the lead arranger on the loan facility.
Canadian Solar chairman and chief executive Shawn Qu said: “We are well positioned to access competitively priced funding to support solar development opportunities in Japan.”
