EWE and PNE Wind are offering local residents the chance to invest in the 48.8MW Kohlen wind farm in the German State of Lower Saxony.
The offer, which has a total investment limit of €1.1m, is open to local people in the municipalities of Kohlen, Heinschenwalde, Großenhain, and Neu-Ebersdorf.
Banking partner Deutsche Kreditbank is offering annual interest yield of 5% for investments over 10 years.
PNE Wind acquired the Kohlen wind farm in September, when it was fully commissioned.
The project features 16 Enercon E101 turbines with a 149-metre hub height and a 101-metre rotor diameter. The tip height of the turbines is 199 metres.
