Labour has reappointed Alan Whitehead as shadow energy and climate change minister just three months after the Southampton Test MP resigned from the same role.
Whitehead replaces shadow international trade secretary Barry Gardiner.
Whitehead resigned from the post in late June, saying he was unable to grant Labour party helmsman Jeremy Corbyn his “complete loyalty”.
The appointment comes after Clive Lewis was last week moved to shadow BEIS secretary from defence. Before his appointment to shadow defence secretary, Lewis was shadow minister for energy markets.
