DeepOcean has completed mobilisation of its T3200 subsea trenching vehicle on to the Havila Phoenix support vessel in preparation for work on Dong Energy’s 573MW Race Bank offshore wind farm off the North Norfolk coast.
The T3200 will tackle trenching work for the project’s export cables. DeepOcean described trenching conditions as “challenging hard ground”.
The company also has the contract to install and trench 91 inter array cables at the wind farm.
Work is scheduled to be undertaken in two stages, one starting in the third quarter of this year and the second in the first quarter of 2017.
JDR is supplying the project’s array cables, with Tekmar providing cable protection.
