Turbine erection specialist Windhoist has built 55 of 76 Siemens 3MW machines at Vattenfall’s 228MW Pen Y Cymoedd wind farm in South Wales.
The turbines have hub heights of 89.5 metres and total heights of 145 metres.
Installation work started in January and is scheduled to be complete by the end of the year on what will easily be the biggest onshore wind farm in Wales.
A total of 684 component deliveries will bring the turbines to the project site from Swansea docks, according to Vattenfall.
