EDP Renewables North America has secured $342m in equity financing in exchange for interests in two wind farms in the US totalling 328MW.
EDPR did not name the investors, only saying that they are “two major financial institutions”.
The wind farms are the 250MW Hidalgo project in Texas and the 78MW Jericho scheme in New York.
Under the terms of the deal, the funding will take place close to the start of operations at both projects, which is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2016, EDPR said.
