Menter Mon is looking to appoint a legal services provider to support the proposed development of a tidal zone off the coast of Anglesey in North Wales.
The legal work for the third-party manager of the Morlais tidal energy project entails negotiations with the Crown Estate and sub-tenants, providing pre-environmental application advice, and guidance on grid connection arrangements with the local distribution network operators or National Grid.
The West Anglesey Demonstration Zone has been designated by The Crown Estate for the development of up to 10 tidal power installations with a total cumulative production capacity of 120MW.
The deadline for submitting completed tenders is 30 September.
