BayWa has sold the 8.2MW Saint-Congard wind farm in Brittany in northwest France to the FPCI Capenergie 3 fund managed by Omnes Capital.
The wind farm consists of four Senvion turbines and has been operated by BayWa since coming online in 2014.
BayWa will continue to provide technical and commercial operations management for the project.
The deal is the first sale of a first French wind farm to a French investor by BayWa.
The company said it currently manages the technical and commercial operations for wind and solar farms in France totalling 200MW.
BayWa board member Matthias Taft said: “France remains a core market for BayWa, where we will continue to invest in renewables in the long term.
“As well as implementing further wind projects, we will also intensify our business activities in the solar sector.
“With this in mind, we feel the cornerstone for future cooperation has been laid with the current sale to Omnes Capital.”
