Service operations vessel Esvagt Njord has arrived at its base port of Great Yarmouth to prepare for its maiden campaign at the 402MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm off the Norfolk coast.
The 83.8 metre Havyard-made HST 125 purpose-built vessel will be christened at the UK east coast port on Friday.
Esvagt Njord (pictured) will be based at Great Yarmouth for the duration of the vessel’s contract at the Dudgeon wind farm.
All turbine foundations and the project’s substation have been installed.
Turbine installation is due to begin next year with 67 Siemens 6MW turbines to feature.
Dudgeon is owned by Statoil, Statkraft and Masdar. It is slated for commissioning in 2017.
