Consultancy group DNV GL said it has completed due diligence for client John Laing Group’s investment in the 111MW Nordergründe offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Britain’s John Laing this month acquired a 30% stake in the €410m project for an undisclosed sum, joining other investors including developer WPD, Gothaer Leben Renewables and the European Investment Bank.
Oslo-based DNV GL said its technical review of the project involved assessing risks associated with approvals, grid-connection, development of the wind farm and the competence of contractors.
Nordergründe, which will utilize Senvion 6.2 M126 turbines, is scheduled to be commissioned at the end of 2016.
